Australian Opal Gem Quality Mintabie Specimen Ornament Collectors Piece 154g D88

| /
This natural Australian rough opal specimen was mined on the Mintabie opal fields of Australia.
The town of Mintabie has been closed by the South Australian Government for political reasons making this opal very rare and increasing in value every year.

After 30 years in the opal business, we firmly believe opal can be the most beautiful gem on Earth, and we love the colourful characters and lifestyle of the outback opal fields. Here at World Class Opal we are privileged to do our best to acquaint the world with the colour, light and beauty that quality Australian opal has to offer.

Item Specifics:

WEIGHT: 770 carats (154 grams)

DIMENSIONS: Approximately 112 mm by 47 mm by 22 mm thick with the polished opal window around 74 mm long by 10 mm wide.

There would be a few carats of superb world class dark Mintabie crystal opal in this piece but its possibly better left as a museum grade specimen.

We do not sell opal simulants of ANY sort. All of our opal is 100% guaranteed Natural Australian Opal.

The color variations in some photos are due to different light angles and distances. All of our auctions are photographed with macro settings under a 60 watt incandescent lamp.

Please check the dimensions carefully as the opal will not be as big in your hand as it looks on your monitor! Also some monitor settings will cause white based opal to look darker than it actually is. Please check the description carefully before bidding and view your purchased rough opal wet in sunlight or in a dark room with a direct light source ie: desk lamp, down light etc. (As photographed and practiced throughout the opal industry).
